The Simien Mountains: Trekking in the Roof of Africa

The Simien Mountains, located in northern Ethiopia, offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Often referred to as the "Roof of Africa," this UNESCO World Heritage site boasts jagged mountain peaks, deep valleys, and sharp precipices dropping some 1,500 m.

The best time to visit is from October to March, when the skies are clearest and the temperatures are mild. However, even during these months, weather can be unpredictable, with chilly nights and the possibility of rain.
